Srinivasa Ramanujan: India’s greatest mathematician

India is a country which is known for its culture as well as many great men.  India is the largest country in the Indian subcontinent located in South Asia.  Where many great scholars have been born, these great people have made an unprecedented contribution in tying India in one sutra, after which India is counted among the great countries today.  It is due to these great persons that India has received the noun of world guru.  If seen in the pages of history, the names of many such great people of India will be seen, due to the work done by which India is made proud all over the world today.  Today we are going to talk about one such great mathematician who has brought the name of his country to the summit.

The great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, who was born on 22 December 1887 in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu and Died on 26 April 1920.  When Ramanujan failed in English, he left school but due to his interest in mathematics, he went on to teach mathematics and today he is known worldwide as a great mathematician.  Gave more theorems, for which he received an invitation from the University of Cambridge, in addition to which he had done a lot of work on the Analytical Theory of Numbers, Elliptical Function, and Infinite Series.

Although Aryabhata is considered to be the first mathematician in India, along with it comes the names of many mathematicians including the name of the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan Ji and some great mathematicians like Shakuntala Devi, CR Rao, and CS  Seshadri’s name also comes.

As we all know that if you want to do something better in life, then one has to go through difficult situations, in the same way, most of the same happen with great people.  The great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan also belonged to a middle-class family and his life was similar to other common people.  He was a very humble person and lived a simple life.  It has happened many times with him that he would get frustrated and upset with his failure, but he never let the failure get over himself.  And with his constant efforts, he has included himself in the list of great mathematician scholars who are the source of inspiration for the people of today and the younger generation.

In today’s era, every youth of India should know about such a great person, so that they too can get inspiration from their education and can follow their path.  We are proud that we are citizens of that great India where many great people and arts have been born on the land.
